Introducing the Brogue Shoe and Brogue Boot
Today we are excited to introduce both the Brogue Shoe and Brogue Boot. Brogue style footwear dates back to 18th century Ireland and Scotland where they were used mostly as an outdoor walking shoe. The signature decorative patterns were originally punched all the way through the upper allowing water to drain out when travelling on foot through the adverse conditions of the wetlands. For the launch of these new styles we wanted to create nontraditional versions that could be worn in a variety of ways. We chose to use Dust Calfskin from Italy and added a discreet fabric pull tab to both models for a casual and functional touch. We've also utilized our new Vintage Last which was custom moulded from a used pair of dress shoes with visible creasing in the vamp. These creases are built into the last and create a subtle worn-in look in the finished product. Purchase the Brogue Shoe and Brogue Boot here.
